The question is "Are you ready?". People get ready for all sorts of things. They get ready to get married, get ready for the wedding. They get ready for a career by getting an education, ready to buy a house and save for it. There are all kinds of things people get ready for in this life; it consumes them, they are totally preoccupied with it. It takes most all of their time and energy, just always getting ready for something. Some people get ready by spending a lot of time and thought getting fit and eating a healthy diet, thinking it will help them live longer. Everybody wants to live as long as they can on this earth. But how sad that most people usually never give much thought to where they are going to go when they die. They just live and act like this life right here and now is the only thing there is to live for. But truly, if you stayed fit and ate healthy and lived to be 100, (if you are lucky enough to be spared accidents, natural disasters, shootings, etc., ) what would that even matter if you died without Christ and end up having to spend eternity in hell forever.

If you want to live a long life, why not call upon God to save you, and you will live forever and ever. John 3:16(KJV): For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (That's a long time, everlasting," meaning never ending.")

The best part about it is you can get ready today. It doesn't take years of planning, figuring, or doing any type of works, etc.) It's a matter of the heart. If you believe in your heart that you are a sinner who deserves to go to hell, and you call upon Jesus and trust in his name, (as the one and only saviour), and believe the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection), then you will be saved instantly and have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9(KJV):That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:13(KJV):For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The everlasting life will begin now and even before you die you will have an abundant life by knowing Jesus. For his spirit comes into our heart to dwell with us forever and he gives us peace and joy and great blessings by washing our sins away. Acts 10:43(KJV):To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Being saved is the best life that anyone could ever have for here now and for eternity. Colossians 1:14(KJV): In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

John 5:24(KJV): Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death to life.

John 17:3(KJV): And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

I John 5:11(KJV): And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

I John 5:13(KJV): These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

When you put your faith in Jesus, he gives you peace. Luke 7:50(KJV): And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Romans 5:1(KJV):Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Being saved also brings joy. Romans 5:11(KJV) :And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Christ's sacrificial death on the cross for us.)


How Long Is Eternity

If you take your last breath today
do you know where you will spend eternity
If you live to be 103 and then die
where will you be ?
People plan for their future,
with provisions for their retirement they make
but ignore the most important thing
when their eternal soul is at stake

If you live 10 or 103 years on earth
what is that compared with forever and ever
Once you take your last breath
you'll not be able to change your mind, no never
Your soul will be living eternally
in either Heaven or Hell
That's why the story of Jesus saving grace
is what I like to tell

Jesus loves you and shed his blood
on the cross to save you
Your eternal destiny
all depends on what with Jesus you will do
Will you accept him as your savior
and go to heaven someday
Or will you reject his love and gift of salvation
and go on your own way

Eternity is a long long time,
trillions of years and more, never ending
What you do with Jesus
is the most important decision in your life pending
If you don't know Jesus personally,
just tell him you know you are a sinner and trust in him alone
He will forgive and give you eternal life in heaven
This decision is so important, it is dangerous to postpone


John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
