Such a small nucleus
Logged so deep inside
Slowly this little life begins to blossom
From a dream to a child.

Mom is nervous
Still in awe of the results
All ranges of emotions shine through
Can this invocation be true?

She begins to grow from a seed
The heart beat sounds like the fluttering of wings
Her fingers are tiny-like sticks
God’s tiny creation is alive.

Mom is excited
Telling the world of this miracle
This child is the center of attention
For all to love and adore.

She is the size of a fist
And feisty as can be
Kicking and prodding
Letting Mom know of her energy.

Mom is anxious
Trying to do all the right things
To shield this child from the world
She prays to Jesus for protection.

She has outgrown her space
The weight of a sugar bag
Turned, in position, too big to move
This child is ready for her entrance.

Mom is scared
Knowing time is near to meet her daughter
Preparations are complete
All is now in Jesus’ hands.

The day has arrived
This long road has come to an end
It is now time to graduate from Mom
To this World.
