Be Strong, Take Heart And Do The Work

Discouragement is a disheartening of the spirit which depresses and destroys confidence, hope and courage. It then becomes an obstacle that can prevent the prosecution, continuance or completion of anything.

Those obstacles could be negative or critical things that were said to intentionally hurt you and destroy your confidence, or perhaps it is from believing you are not doing as good a job, as the work somebody else is doing, or has done. Whatever the issue, it can cause the work to stop, stall, or be stagnant.

If God has called on you for an assignment:

• Don’t listen to what people are saying, especially when they don’t have a clue or a revelation about what God has commissioned you to do.  


• Don't try to compare the work he wants you to do with the work others are doing, or have done. Keep your eyes on the Lord, and your ears open to His instructions. He will guide you in what to do, that in the end, the results will be greater than what anyone has ever seen, or expected, for the glory of the Lord will be seen in it.


• Don’t question your ability of whether or not you can do it. If God did not think you could do it, He would not have called you.

Despite every obstacle of discouragements that may come, the work must still continue. You have an obligation to do and finish the work God has assigned to you. Even as God has promised to be with you before the work began, He is still with you, and will continue to be with you.

So when you feel like giving up, when you feel as if you are not doing as good as you like, when you think your work is not as good as the next man, yet, be strong, take heart and do the work. What God is doing through you is as great and unique as the next man, but He needs your hands to execute the plan.
