Remember Dragnet? The names have been changed to protect the innocent.

I changed my name over forty-seven years ago to seal my marriage vows.

Though it was long ago, I still recall walking arm-in-arm with Dad from the vestibule down the aisle of Central Baptist Church, Syracuse, NY. Aware of the group assembled with peripheral vision, I focused most on my view ahead. The groom waited for me at the altar.

“Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready (Revelation 19:6b-7 NAS).”
