Settle The Conflict With God

When you do not submit yourself under the laws of God, you are placing yourself in a position of hostility in your relationship between you and God, whether you accept this truth or not.

When your child disobeys you, hostility develops. When a spouse does something to jeopardize the trust between husband and wife, hostility develops. When it is found out that a friend you have known for years, was not as good a friend you thought they were, hostility develops. When you disobey God's word to do whatever pleases you, hostility will develop. When you lean unto your own interpretation of a direct command given by God, to justify or satisfy your lifestyle, hostility will develop between you and God.

God absolutely loves us, but he does not love the things we do, that are in total opposite of what he has declared to be holy. A man who says he loves God, and is a friend of God, but submits himself to pleasing his flesh, rather than to submit himself under the laws of God, is in conflict with God. Therefore, because of his unwillingness to obey God's word, he cannot please God while he is in this state. Whenever you have a desire to intentionally do the things that bring pleasure to your natural man, rather than the things that pleases God, there will be hostility in your relationship with God.

If you find yourself in a position where you are faced with making a decision as to whether or not you will choose to please your flesh over pleasing God, come to grips with yourself, repent and realize, is it worth jeopardizing your friendship with God. But if you have already made the choice to please your flesh over God, it's not over, your relationship with God can be revived, and your mind renewed.

Thanks be to God that he not only sent his son to be a savior for the world, also an advocate by whom our sins are forgiven, when we confess our sins. God's word promises that he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins - "My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and he is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 2:1-2, 1:9).
