Marriage

Because this reunion was instituted by God
it has requirements that comes with it
And as a bride I will by his inner help try
to forever keep it's meaning a-lit

For a bride has a task unto her husband
and that's to uphold him when he is down
With no interference from other sources
but will sincere prayers to keep him aground

In her heart she desires to make him happy
even when the troubles of life crush in
She will humbly give all that she has
and with him ride out the thick and thin

She prays her plate will satisfy his hunger
as she prepares his meals each day
and it will nourish his body through and through
so that it can help him along the way

She will make his home like a castle of comfort
for his return each time he has to go
And although tired, she awaits his entrance
even when times the winds do blow

For no marriage is perfect it always needs work
so his humble bride will try to do her best
knowing within her heart that it is her duty
and doesn't matter how hard the test

When he looks at her, she is fresh as a flower
that will never wither up and die
And her love will always keep on giving
even in old age, it will flourish and abide
