Wake Up!

Most of us when we were children, would always hear our parents and grandparents say "Jesus is coming! Jesus is coming!" - as if He was right around the corner, and would be there any minute. The old patriarchs of Christ's church lived with that thought in their minds everyday of their lives, which prompt them to making sure their house was in order with a readiness to be called home at any time.

Now more than ever, the return of our Savior is closer than when we first believed. Now more than ever, the day of redemption is at hand, time is getting shorter and shorter. Day by day we are closer and closer to the kingdom of heaven.

A deep conviction of this truth should cause every professing believer of Christ to examine themselves as to whether they are sincerely in the faith, or not - "Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith, prove your own selves" (II Corinthians 13:5).

Evil and wickedness is progressing everywhere without a care or conscience. People are worshipping false gods, listening to false doctrines and living in sin, even under the gospel. Now is the time to choose whose report and doctrines you will believe, and to whom you and your house will serve.

If you choose to believe in the true doctrines of Christ, then it is time to adhere to His doctrines and standards of holiness. It is time to put off the deeds of darkness, and put on the armor of light. It is time to stop bickering and arguing between one another, and start getting along with one another. It is time to live more and more as each day comes and goes, in preparation for a world of light and glory.

Church, it's time to wake up and walk right! The night is far spent, and the day is at hand. It's time to get into Jesus, to stay into Jesus and to live for Jesus every day of your remaining time in this world. Now is the time to get your house in order.
