When I see a man who has a grand and evident passion
To jump straight to work, immediately to action
In helping one whom God deeply treasures
Without caring about another's opinion that sometimes matters
Forsaking all to run wherever by God he may be bidden
Within this man a beautiful and clean heart is hidden

A person who listens to God as his chieftain
Is by all means a devoted and dutiful Christian
He is not torn between two masters
He refuses to take to heart the words of conniving backbiters
He understands that love, true and pure, has been graciously bestowed upon a -------wretch like him and on even more hateful and wicked men
Within this man a beautiful and clean heart is hidden

God is a wise and wonderful craftsman
Who understands that man's heart, because of sin, will blacken
Because of his love poured out on that cross
Jesus all man's sin has washed
His grace for mankind has been proven
Because of him, within this man a beautiful and clean heart is hidden
