Transformation is more the norm than the exception and, so, it is not uncommon to witness or experience it I'm finding. People often leave an experience, a concert or a movie or a trip for example, transformed, "never to be the same again." But the crucial question is: transformed to what end, into what or into whose image?
The changes are often so deceptively gradual and unconscious that we aren't aware of them. That's what we have to be careful about, and that depends entirely upon what kind of concert or movie, or trip etc. it was. As spiritual athletes in training, God's people need to be more and more selective about such things because we don't want to be changed in the wrong way, in a way that would grieve our Lord and Master and hinder His use of us for Kingdom purposes.
