Abid, a so called blasphemer shot dead in Taxila, Pakistan due to a false blasphemy case under section 295C. He was released from Adiala prison in early January 2015 because of his deteriorated mental and physical condition. On the night of January 07, he was kidnapped from his house and next day, his bullet riddled dead body was found and later buried in the courtyard of his house because muslim clerics didn’t allow the family to bury him in the graveyard.
I knew this man personally from prison because we used to go for hearing in court together; he was mentally retarded person who was implicated in a false blasphemy case in 2011. Abid isn’t the first one who got killed for this black law, Asghar, two brothers, Pastor Rashid Emmanuel and Sajid Emmanuel and Qamar David. I can count as many cases as I want, I didn’t want to write anything about blasphemy anymore because many people including me have written about this case and incidents caused due this case but every time one case just come to the picture and I have to write about it.
Abid was mentally disturbed person but he was killed and the FIR was lodged against unknown people, which clearly means that the case is closed and no action will ever be taken against anyone. I cannot understand that why one page of Koran is so important than human lives? If someone is accused of saying bad things about muslim prophet, all muslims get hurt and they don’t care if the accusation is false or true. All they can do is to kill that person and this is called terrorism.
Pakistan government, including all officials, army officers and politicians are involved in the murders of all these innocent people because no action has ever been taken against the culprits. All these officials and the culprits should be trialed in International Criminal Court (ICC).
Those who demand a law through United Nations against all those who insult Islamic prophet and koran should keep this in mind that Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He was crucified and rose again the third day. Muslims who don’t believe in this should be trialed for blasphemy case, including those who say that Holy Bible is fabricated, forcibly conversions of non-muslim girls by any means, isolating the minorities in muslim countries and not giving nationalities to non-muslims in their own countries . Or all those so called Islamic scholars like Zakir Naik and others who insult other religions especially Christianity should be arrested and cases of blasphemy or terrorism should be lodged against them because blasphemy case and terrorism are equal.
Muslims want to preach Islam all over the world but when it comes to their countries, they kill and hurt people who go to preach their religion in muslim countries. They know how to ask for the rights but don’t know how to give others their rights. They think that they are the only ones who deserve to be called human beings.
In the end, I would say that if they agree on all conditions I mentioned above, only then, a law they say can be considered in United Nations.
