I write as the mood takes me, a common mistake, see?
Whether I grab the moon or fetch the sun.
I know the stars in their delight may refuse to say goodnight,
but I request the dawn to have some fun!

I write upon experience, [or somewhere in between us]
I rarely will expose the final truth!
I grab at 'nothing stays here, for more than a mere day, dear
and that, my darling may encompass you!'

I write then on my voyage, light steps, I may pay homage
to those I've loved and lost along the way.
Regret to me, is alien because it means I've failed
to enjoy the rays of sunshine every day!
