We were laying down last night just watching a little TV when my wife asked, "Can I come lay in your arms?" OMG! I was like are you kidding me? We are quite different than a lot of couples, because I am the one who loves to snuggle. Janice is plagued with hot flashes, and usually has a pain in her abdomen, causing her to hurt when she lies on her side. But let me tell you, it only lasted a few minutes before she started hurting, but I was in Heaven. If I could rewind to another time in our relationship, it would definitely be when we were able to just lie there in a spoon position for what seemed like forever. Me, with my arm wrapped around her, and her all snuggled up so close. We fit together so perfectly! I used to tell Janice while we were lying there, this is how I want to die, this way i could just transition from one Heaven to another. Aside from that, minus the storms of course, I don't think I have ever been happier, I have definitely never been more in love than I am right now.

I remember not long ago Janice asked me, "Knowing what you know now, if you had a choice, would you do it all over again?" I think after her third round of chemo, she was feeling weak, and thought I may be getting tired of taking care of her. Physically, I may get tired sometimes; but I am never too tired to tend to her needs. There she was, getting sick over and over, for days at a time, and she's worried I may be getting tired. Right now, I am EXACTLY where I am supposed to be, doing EXACTLY what the Lord put me here to do. Some people may not understand this, but for the last 1,204 days I have never felt more used by God in my life; and as a result, I have never felt closer to Him than I do right now. Each morning, as I meet with Him, it's like He's sitting right here with me, leading me, guiding me, and giving me a peace like I have never known. He has put so much love in my heart for my precious wife, that I know He is simply loving her through me.

My cousin Jimmy always gives me a hard time for quoting from one of my favorite movies, The Notebook But, what can I say, I am blessed to be madly in love with my best friend this side of Heaven; and I know I am a guy, and we aren't supposed to have feelings, but my heart needs to express itself sometimes. So sweetheart this is for you:
