Finding Favour Lyrics - Say Amen

If there’s anybody here who’s seen His power
Anybody here brought through the fire
Come on and Say Amen
Anybody here found joy in the middle of sorrow
Peace in the storm, hope for tomorrow
And seen it time and time again
Just say Amen, Just say Amen!

This is what I found myself doing one morning last week; reminding myself of who God is, and all the times He has been there for us in our hour of need. To these lyrics I can certainly say AMEN, as time and time again God has been with us. We HAVE TO keep these memories close to our hearts and NEVER forget the times God has brought us through storms in our lives. Because when tragedy strikes, I can assure you, no matter how strong in the faith we think we are, those thoughts of doubt will come creeping in.

Last week a young pastor buried his newlywed wife and their unborn child. She was only 26 years old, and they were just married this past November. From what I understand she went in for a D&C and started having seizures, slipped into a coma, and passed away this past Saturday. This happens, as his mother was home battling for her life, suffering from the same cancer as my wife. Fortunately, his father, an anointed pastor himself, was able to be there for his son in his hour of need.

When I tell you life just seems unfair at times, well it is!. I mean, nothing about this makes any sense to me. This is one of the most Godly families I know, yet look at what they are going through. But, the truth is, we DO NOT see the big picture. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. But, as bad as this tragedy may seem, if there is one thing I am sure of, they are not alone. The Lord is right there in their midst, and WILL BE there to wipe away every tear that falls. There is a quote that says, “God doesn't give us what we can handle, He helps us handle what we are given.” That is certainly the truth we have experienced. These last 5+ years, as the storms have raged in our own lives, we have NEVER felt alone, and I am sure He is there with this family as well.

Father, we pray for peace and comfort for this family as they deal with the loss of their loved one, who is now called home to be with You forevermore. AMEN!

From my heart to yours!
