Success! Success!! Everyone I know wants to become 'successful' _but almost everyone I know has this 'crazy' idea of what being 'successful' is all about. Whenever you mention 'being successful', this is the picture the average guy sees; 'a good college degree, a well paying job or business, couples of houses, fleet of cars, married with couple of kids, some big bucks in the bank,..etc. The tragic aspect of this truth is the fact that, the average guy passes on this same 'crazy picture' of success to his kids and his kids passes it on to their kids...and the 'misunderstanding' goes on. The average youth in college/university right now's got this same idea of success_ and it's a big problem.



This crazy idea of success is the reason why people 'run through life' instead of actually 'living life'. They run through life spending their whole life in pursuit of 'things', things that are not important. It's the same reason why people spend their whole life in pursuit of things like, money, power, fame,..etc, because they feel these things make you successful_but, they are so wrong.



So, I've briefly shared 7(seven) important truths you should know about success or being successful. Understanding these truths will give you the right idea of what success is all about.



7 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

"BEING SUCCESSFUL"



1) Success is not what you've done compared to what others are doing, it's what you've done compared to what you were created to DO: never try to measure your success in life in comparism with what everyone out there is doing or have done. Instead, you should measure your success in comparism with exactly what you were born to do. In the journey of success, there is no competition because, we were all given different assignments.



2) Success is Purpose Accomplished: see this picture;let's say.. you're a manufacturer, and one day, you decided to produce a pen (pretty simple , huh). All you had in mind while producing this "pen" was "to create an instrument that'll be used for writing on paper". But (just imagine), after production, the "pen" says, "hey man, I really do appreciate you creating me to "write", nothing personal man but I don't think I'm cut out for that writing shit_ I think I'm gonna just burst outta here and do whatever I want to do with my life, see'ya". Now, after this incident, if someone asks you, "how was that pen project?" As the manufacturer, you'd say, "it was a total failure" why? because the pen was unable to fulfill its "original intent" for creation.

Never forget this, a product is successful only when it begins to accomplish the manufacturers original intention for creating it. Translation: you're successful only when you fulfill your purpose for creation.



3) THE success of a product is in that product: this simply means that the success of every product is built into the product. For example: automobile companies, when producing a car, they first create a blue print of the kind of car they want to produce and they build into the car every component, features and parts it needs to operate successfully in relation to what they have in mind (blue print). So this car right here has all the potential in the world to succeed, because its success was built into it.

It's the same way with you and I; don't live with the idea that you'll succeed only when you live in a certain country, have a certain people around you, acquire a certain certificate or have a certain job. If you keep looking for success on the outside, you'll never find it. What you need to be successful is not in some country or friends/relationships or some certificate or some job_ all you need to succeed has been put in you, it's left for you to discover and manifest it.



4) Success is not a Destination, but a Journey: subscribing to the idea of success as a destination is detrimental to your success in life. As a matter of fact, one of the greatest enemies of success is "past success". I've seen many people fail because they 'feel' they have 'arrived'. Translation: you'll begin to fail the day you stop 'succeeding'. Success is not just some place you're going to, it's what you've been 'designed' to be. Success is more of the those little important steps you're taking right than it is of the big picture in your mind.



5) Success is Predictable: this is the simplest, but most important thing you need to know about success. Success is as predictable as the weather. But the question is; why is success predictable? Answer: because success operates/functions on Laws(Principles), and Laws and Principles are always predictable (because the do not change). Translation: if you acknowledge and adopt the laws and principles of success, you'll definitely succeed_ but, if you don't, the outcome is also very predictable.

I'm gonna briefly illustrate what I just "said" now with the "concept of the seed". When you plant a seed on a fertile soil, and provide it with adequate water and sunlight_ you wouldn't need to pray(or fast) for the seed to grow. It will grow, why? Because you obeyed the law and principle of 'the seed'. This simply translates: you can simply predict your success by the choices and decisions you're making now(if you make the right decisions..you'll succeed_ but, if you make the wrong ones..you'll surely fail).



6) Wealth does not make you successful, but success will 'make' you wealthy: this is very simple, but most people don't get it_ the average guy sees every 'wealthy' man as a 'successful person'. But the truth is;having properties, houses, cars, land and big bucks in the bank, does not in any way make 'someone' a successful person. Rather, being 'successful' (fulfilling your purpose), will make you wealthy.



7) Every time you tHINK of "being like someone"_ you are thinking "failure": trust me_ you can become "truly successful", only when you decide to accept and be yourself. Trying to "be like someone" else is the fastest way to fail in life. It's very simple_ "you can only succeed at what you were created(designed) to do. That person you're trying to be like was "designed" or "fashioned" "be what he is, you were not.

Sincerely, one of the craziest things I've seen people do is, trying to be someone else_ cos, they'll "keep trying". Discover yourself, be yourself.
