My wife Leslyn doesn’t mind me saying that she’s not the best singer in the world. She can just about carry a tune in a bucket, yet I so enjoy listening to her anyway. The reason her singing is sweet to my ears, even if slightly off-key, is because God has given it to me to love her so deeply. I would even listen to a CD of her singing if there was such a thing, especially if I had to be separated from her for a time, like during periods of travel.
It is that way between Jesus and His beloved Church. He doesn’t like listening to the talented sing or play any more than the less talented, as long as it all flows from a heart of sincere praise. Because He loves each of us so fervently and so completely, all of our expressions of love are precious and endearing to Him.
