Before Jesus left the world to sit with his Father, he didn't give us a certain date for his return. However, today, there exist numerous FAILED dates and others marking the days to which the Lord's coming was predicted by many to occur on a particular day, month and year. All have made the predictors to be called false prophets while other set dates will mark the modern predictors as false too.
In matt. 24:36, the LORD explained, ¡°But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only [KJV],¡± and it confirms that Jesus' return will surely come to pass but the DATE of his coming is known to no one. All fixed dates that the Lord will come in 2040; 2060, is just an error which so many pre-tribulationists believe. However, does that change the reality of his return? Of course not! Infact, his coming will take many by surprise, and only those who are prepared will be taken up with him on that day when he will return for his beloved people.
The Error
When a person so dear to us commits a mistake which may be very destructive, we sometimes say to him, ¡°Why are you doing this? Don't you know that the Lord can come tonight? If he does, how will you rapture with him?¡± Now the main sentence I am emphasising is, 'Don't you know that the Lord can come tonight?' Certainly, there's no wrong in those words but we who also say this must understand that JESUS WONT COME TODAY FOR HIS PEOPLE IF ALL PREDICTED BY HIM IN matthew 24 IS NOT FULFILLED YET.
Matthew 24:6 clearly express the Lord's words about the timing of his return: ¡°And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet [KJV].¡±
Therefore, saying that the Lord can come tonight when MORE of all that he predicted would precede his coming isn't completely fulfilled. We wouldn't only be 'faking' on that person but also exaggerating. HE WILL RETURN WHEN ALL HE PREDICTED WILL HAPPEN - BEFORE HIS RETURN - ARE COMPLETED!
His return will happen AFTER the Great Tribulation which will come upon all believers to try them. Before the tribulation, many would be fulfilled; and after the tribulation, ONE more event (containing THREE) will be fulfilled before he returns - withdrawal of the sun's light; the moon's light and the falling of the stars - and if we exclaim that he can return tonight, how will all these things be fulfilled?
Jesus said, ¡°Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away (matthew 24:35 KJV)¡±. And vs 29-30 says, ¡°Immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [KJV].¡±
Therefore, there are many things to expect BEFORE the Lord's second coming.
Then, Why Call It, 'why Jesus will not return before 2060'?
The reason is this topic was just 'chosen to grab the minds of the readers, so as to find what's written here'. So, will you from now tell your 'dear fellow': ¡°Don't you know Jesus is coming SOON?¡± and by that it means, 'he will come when the Father wills'.
Jesus will come when the Father wills and the truth is that we don't know when; but that the signs are told us for us to watch carefully.
This message doesn't say that Jesus won't come before 2060 or after it, but that the day of his return isn't known.
Note: In the near future when this is re-read, please learn to compare the date when it was written with the time you are in, so as to prevent a misinterpretation of these words.
Also, understand that saying he may return tonight isn't a bad sentence but it's BEST to know that words matter a lot.
Please, give your comments.
