Hand of God!!

Several several years ago I was not the person I am now.
I was a very troubled gal who thought the only way to be
happy was to party and drink and run around. And Oh
Boy I sure did. I would just live for the weekends....But
then I got to running and partying all the time. Oh I went
to work everyday and done my job...but as soon as I got
off I was in the bar....drinking and drinking and drinking.

Well I remember one night as I got off work....I do believe
it was a Friday night and even Pay Day....I stopped at the
bank and cashed my check and of course making sure I
was responsible I put back most of the money so I could pay
my bills....but I kept out enough to party on which I sure did.

I pulled up in front of the bar and I went in knowing this is going
to be a great night. And it was. I closed the bar down. Wow 2 AM
and here I was...not walking very good but still walking. So I went
and I started looking for my car. Oh my what happened to my car?
Well it was right in front of me and I finally found it. I got in and drove
home. But I don't remember driving the road or how I got home.
But of course I got up and thought wow this is Saturday and I get
to go and do it all again...and I did.

This was an every day thing for me....my job and then party and drink.
Everyday day in and day out that's what I did. Until I went to the night
shift at work....well needless to say that messed me up some on my
partying but I still partied.

Well one morning I got off work at 6 AM and I was having a really hard
time. I was so depressed and getting more so all the time. The partying
just wasn't that much fun anymore. And I cried all the time because
I was so lonely and alone. No one I could talk to about things or that's
what I thought and at that time I didn't pray or talk to God....I didn't
want to....that would have meant I couldn't party anymore....wow how
so very foolish I was. Well before I went home that morning I stopped
and picked me up a 12 pack of beer. I didn't care and I was just going
to go home and end it there. I had enough pain and I just couldn't take
it anymore. So I got in the house and I started drinking and I drank
and I drank until almost all that 12 pack was gone. I was drinking
through the tears and I was almost ready to pass out and I realized
something right then.....Oh my....one of my family was going to have to
tell my son....who was in California at Camp Pendleton....2000 miles
from me....to come home because his mom is dead. I thought oh Dear Lord
I can't do that to him....I cannot do that and be so selfish....so I cried out
Please God....don't let satin take me away....and as I sat on the edge
of the couch....crying so hard.....I felt an arm go around my shoulders and
pulled me very close....and the warmth I felt was so wonderful....so much
peace and comfort....I laid back and went to sleep.

Well the next morning I got up and I felt better....and I continued to party
but not as much and as time went on I stopped going to the bar and
I started staying home at night and I met my Husband and it changed
me. Well it was a while before I realized just what had happened to me
that one morning. I knew I had felt the Hand of God around me. I knew
that God saved me that day. Well it was a while later after we had started
our ministry that the Good Lord reminded me of that one day....that day
He held me in His arms....and I remember what a warmth I felt....what
peace and comfort. So you see it doesn't matter what have done or
what you doing God is there. God is beside you and all you have to do
is call His name and you to can feel the Hand of God.
Thank you Sweet Jesus for saving me!!!
