Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Today is the first day of 2015. What will be your contribution to a better than 2014 year?

New Year's resolutions often fade. What positive habits will you develop to make 2015 a success? Since the recorded number of days needed to form a habit vary from 18 to 254... let's target the full year as our goal to achieving God's best 2015 for our lives.

The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 11:26-28,
v 26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.
v 27 A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day.
v 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

My assumption while writing this is that we all prefer a blessed 2015 over a cursed 2015.

In my prayer for a better 2015 I was left with the following recipe that I'm now sharing with all of you:
1) Take inventory of rewards from 2014
2) Separate rewards into likes and dislikes categories
3) From the likes category, determine how to improve what works well
4) From the dislikes category, determine areas that should be omitted
5) From the remaining dislikes that weren't omitted, determine methods to change dislikes to likes

The above list will be your ingredients.

The next step will be to pray over your ingredients. Immediately after the ingredients have been prayed over, write down the preparation steps.

Those steps will be your tasks of the day, for the steps of a good man are ordered
by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way (Psalm 37:23).

Here is the key... your tasks will change daily. The verses in Deuteronomy say
v 27 THIS DAY I set
v 28 A blessing, if we obey ...which i command THIS DAY
v 29 A curse, if we do not obey...but turn aside out of the way which I command THIS DAY.

Point being, the recipe must be followed daily. Prayer, task list, and then execution.

The book of Psalm opens with...
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord: and in his will doth he meditate day and night. (Ps 1:1,2)

Day and Night... begin the day with prayer and instructions. Execute throughout the day. Take inventory during the night... and record your daily blessing as fuel for the next day.

I've followed this recipe for the past 7 days. Each day i've recorded a blessing that encourages me to follow the recipe the next day. Each day I get more excited about what will happen tomorrow.

I know many of us work day jobs that hinder the free time we have in the morning for such an exercise. I am faithful that God will provide what we need to reach our commitment, be that time...or energy.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives. What will we do differently, what is our contribution to a better this year, than last year? I invite readers to join in the 2015 recipe for success challenge. Share your daily blessing testimonies with others. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony...(Rev. 12:11) Remember...he that is faithful over a few things will be made ruler over many things (Math 25:21).

Let's take the challenge, overcome the world by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimonies, spread the Gospel and let's have reap the blessings of a victorious, prolific, God-glorifying, awe-inspiring, faith-fulfilling 2015!!!

We have 364 days left... Time for some action!!

Thanks for reading - i'm new to Faith Writers. Today is my first post, and now I must get to continued execution of my steps to record the blessing of THIS DAY.

Join the challenge and be blessed!
