The voice of a child,
Much like a bird's song in the spring..
Brings such heartfelt joy,
And inspiration when they sing..
Such honesty in expression,
Reverence in their song..
Dedication to one another,
Never trying to stand alone..
Jubilant smiles, joyous inner laughter,
Shine brightly for all to see..
Visions of a happy heart,
Shine through the voice of a child -
This once was you and me!
The voice of child speaks truth,
Reality as it's seen..
Nothing more / nothing less,
Never intended to be taken mean..
Perhaps, we adults should remember,
The days of OUR honest smile..
For even today, in our dog eat dog world,
We, too, can speak-
Speak with the voice of a child..
