Whoever can be my world of hope?

When life’s a bitter and hopeless gray?

And frustration is all I can ever see?

Is gloom and frustration my normal day?

Can all of this forever, someday flee?

Whoever can be my world of hope?


When troubles seem to always stay,

And shadows of the past surround me.

Is hope and joy only a distant ray?

Can joy for a day, fill my heart ever be?

Whoever can be my world of hope?


When joy will fill my heart at last!

And God by my side will always stay.

Is that day going to come fast?

Can this maybe be what He’ll say…?

“I will be the Hope in your world!”
