The Truth!

The real truth of the matter,
Only seems to make you sadder,
You believe there is a way out.
Just need to follow that route.
Because, the truth really is healing,
It just hasn’t made your heart sing.
Or at least, that’s not happened yet,
Got to find a way for that to be met.

But right now, all you feel are lies!
You wish you wouldn’t have had to buy.
Everything you feel needs to be sold.
You need courage to be that bold.
And just let the truth finally seep in.
Yet, you don’t know where to find,
The bright, real truth of that kind,
Upon truth is where you need to feed,
Until it is all you know and have.
So, you can walk down Joy Ave,
And be able to hurt with peace.
Since you’ve finally released
All the pain and took the truth,
And quit looking in another booth.

That raises a profit of awful lies.
And ignores the tricked cries,
That bought it at its own price.
And spend it with many a dice.
Oh, so far from You, they are.
We must help them not go so far!
By sharing the only truth!
To so many a hurting youth,

They are even far lower than I.
All their hearts can do is cry.
My life needs to end fast!
In this world I won’t last.
They need the life in Christ!
Go, and get them enticed!
And give it away – rush.
Before they are crushed,

The truth will set them free!
It can do the same for me.
I need to choose that path.
And forgive, and begin to laugh.
Without fear of a returned hurt,
I find I am watching and on alert.
It all needs to go, with my past,
I need to turn to things that last.
So, bring truth to the heartsick.
Bring that, that will forever stick!
To get them all through alright,
For everyone is in God’s sight.

He so longs for you to accept it,
The truth, every single little bit!
So ditch, the ever present lies!
And grab ahold of the prize!
He’ll hold you right in the storm.
Where hurt isn’t always the norm,
God wants all that to change!
And forever be in your life’s range.
Where truth triumphs every time!
Not just with rhythm or rhyme!
