Something about the redwood trees of California that i heard from Pastor Jentezen Franklin hasn't gone away from my mind in weeks and i really want to share an important lesson i learnt from the tallest and oldest tree in the world

The redwood trees grow about 379 feet in height but in depth, it goes just three feet which really isn't not an average measurement of what any one can consider as deep. Yet when the wind blows and the storm comes, it stands very strong. The question as to this incredible possibility therefore comes to play. Here is the secret....

When the red wood gets to the 3rd feet, it spreads out it roots and finds other red wood trees where it intertwines and cling to the roots it sees. So when the storm comes, it will have to face a forest of red wood trees instead of an isolated singular one. As the wind blows vehemently, the red woods stay tight, clinging to one another and fighting the storm or wind together. Report has it that there are trees in that forest that are dead for years but are still standing... Cos the other redwood trees wouldn't let go, possibly believing that the dead trees could live again.

How sweet would this be if it is applied to the Kingdom. Imagine how strong weak believers and new converts would be in their inner man if we can just hold hands together, daring the storm to roar against us. The truth is, we can't fight the battle of life in isolation. I will have to put down my popularity, personal doctrinal issues, ego and fix my arms into that of other believers as we pray together and encourage one another as regards every issue of life.

The year 2015 comes with a great task... I see Ladies and Gentlemen forming small groups of prayer, intercession and word exposition. I see avenues for teenagers and youths from different denominations dealing with pornography, masturbation and other vices, i also envision men rising up to mould little children for Christ. Just now, my mind went to one of my mentors who run Daughters of Destiny group which is active online and which has drawn so many women, trashing various issues. People have started catching this power of unity..a unity that the red wood had.
