What is your Stalking Horse?

Many of you know what a ‘stalking horse ‘ is, for those that do not I will tell you shortly, however, please allow me to use this as a way to show the tools and methods of our enemy, the premier enemy of our souls: Satan.
Yes, I said premier enemy, as our most dangerous enemy, even more than Satan; to our soul is ourselves!

This week past a clamor of allegations has come out against Mr. Bill Cosby – while I personally feel that the attack is unwarranted and while my desire and belief stems from nothing more than my own wishes and thoughts –In my heart my best thoughts are toward Mr. Cosby. As I was not there, neither were any of you, then we have no right to speculate!
Speculation is a gross sin and is very dangerous – please allow me to finish the thought.
When someone hears a news cast such as I have just mentioned that took place last week on CNN and other News Media stations and channels.
When this information comes to their ears and mind and heart and eventually their soul, what happens?
In the mind of the hearer (not the listener) – in the mind of the hearer, immediately it is one of a few or many things:
• I can’t believe it!
• I always knew there was something about him!
• It figures!
• Hollywood is great at hiding things!
• I’ll never watch him again!
• No more jello for my household!

Let’s pause here and think a moment…
Were you the proverbial fly on the wall?
Did you see, hear, or take part in the things in which Mr. Cosby is accused of?
Were you a “victim” that word is used as a description, not an accusation from this writer!

Now, whether it be Mr. Cosby or be it another person and or another situation; Satan causes a discord in your spirit, he brings in negativity through this, also introduced to your soul is a speck of bitterness or even hate and no matter what word is used or excuse is given, hate is hate….



What Satan has done is causing you to:
• Judge
• Predetermine
• Gossip
• Speculate
• Publish by word of mouth
• Publish by text or e-mail and or twitter or facebook and other social media

Satan is causing you to sin, even though you justify it humanly; I am afraid God sees it as sin for these things I have here mentioned and more, take place in the hearts and souls of millions of people daily- for many and varied reasons and circumstances –
The result is Sin and as it is planted in the mind and heart – the soul is being layered with these things, much like preparing a highway for paving or shall I say here, the laying of a foundation for the erection of a building that most folk do not realize exists-
So called Christians who live to judge their neighbor, or who speak against their neighbor, are hypocrites, because they lack the power and the resolution to look to their own deficiencies.
Our tongue is intended and was made to praise God and to edify our spouse then others (if one is married), “but when we use our tongue to speak ill of our brother or sister, we are using it to kill God...the image of God in our brother.
If you speak ill of your brother, you kill your brother. And every time we do this, we are imitating that gesture of Cain, the first murderer in History.

What is your ‘stalking horse’?
What does Satan trap you with that you either are not aware or you brush it off as humanly normal?
At this point introspection must be warranted -


STALKING-HORSE, n. A horse, real or factitious, behind which a fowler conceals himself from the sight of the game which he is aiming to kill; hence, a mask; a pretense.

Hypocrisy is the devils stalking-horse, under an affectation of simplicity and religion.

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
(1 Corinthians 6:5-10)

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
(Romans 1:29-32)
