Quite often as in other areas of scripture – in the Beatitudes, the scriptures ae misinterpreted, misrepresented and truthfully just never taught as they should be. The Scripture is read in its true form and discussed most often only as a surface teaching and or skimming. Much like the skipping of a rock across the top of water. It looks and sounds nice, pretty, amazing and or etc. Yet it never sinks deep enough to make a difference or for folk to take on the real and true potential.
In the teaching here, out of one single word, (mourn) we can lean the following:
Mourning is for the sin, for their own sins; the sin of their nature, indwelling sin, which is always working in them, and is a continual grief of mind.
These sins are committed against a God of love, grace, and mercy, because their sins grieve the Spirit, and shame the Gospel of Christ.
Secondly there is a mourning of Sin on the part of others, of the sins that plague mankind, for those who live in a false state of grace and salvation, all the while thinking they are saved.
Do you mourn?
Have you taken an introspective look within self and seen the black plague that fills you soul like a lagoon filled with animal waste?
Are you so wrapped up in the thoughts of self and or in a false state of being that you cannot mourn for others? Is the mourning that you do; is it real, is it enough to bring about true prayer time for others, to make a change in your life for the betterment of the Kingdom of God?
It’s quite different when one takes the beatitudes and deepens their look into them and at the true meanings of the Words used – it makes people instantly guilty (not that they were not anyway, now they must know it).
I strongly urge you to follow along with me and continue the investigation of the Beatitudes and by doing so you can free your life and self and soul.
