   “Everyone has at least one skeleton in the closet,” the speaker assured us, which got me to thinking and brainstorming amidst the secret clanking and clattering of bones for a good and safe Halloween activity for the folks who don’t want to be out on the streets themselves, or have their kids on the streets, or even to accompany their kids door to door in such troublesome suspicious times, or even stay home with the latest horror movie.

  The idea is a coming-out-gathering for skeletons in the closet. Everyone is to bring at least one skeleton from the closet, and no more than five! (Give us a break.) We would entitle the gathering; “Come Clean at Halloween.” It could be a very cathartic, bonding experience, it could also be a very disastrous or explosive one, which come to think of it, might make it more appropriate for July 4!

  No, but in all seriousness, what a great time of the year to remember that as we receive His Son's sacrifice, He has separated our skeleton sins from us "as far as the east is from the west," and we may as well not even try to measure that!
