Most of us know Isaiah 55:9-13 KJV

For our good, we need to believe every Word that God has spoken because it is our coming to the knowledge of the things of God that gives us strength and ability to do exploits. Did you know that in the good fight of faith, the wise are mightier than the strong and only those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger? It is the Word of God that makes one achieve this.

Every miracle that will happen in your life has its root in God’s Word. Inside every Word are hidden blessings for your life. Hearing the Word of God and acting upon it is wisdom. It is like building one’s house upon a hill; upon the rock – upon a strong foundation. We cannot deceive ourselves by merely listening to the Word; if we desire its benefits then we must do what it says – that is victorious living.

Farmers will tell you that rain comes and falls on the ground but only those who prepare for it benefit from it. Consequently, the Word of God is alive and present today, falling on us via several channels including devotionals like this one. The Word of God is always being preached, but to benefit from it you must prepare to receive it. It cannot be forced upon you. God declares His Word, our part is to comply with it and then God comes around to confirm it.

Since we desire to see the goodness of God in our lifetime, let us make the Word of God our default response; let us set our receivers on preset mode as far as the Word of God is concerned in our lives so that we can benefit from it – because God’s Word will not return to Him empty!
