With panic and fear
In the kite filled skies
As I became my own man
The kites turned to lies

Breathing deep breaths
With a heart pounding free
I had to be him -
But he could not be me

The past years of truth
Not felt for many years
A surging flood of anger
To display hidden fears

Just as a turning windmill blade
Spinning freely in the breeze
A constant feeling of chaos
Never one of simple ease

Like flickering lights
Down a dark narrow ridge
Has been my journey
On God's laden bridge

The landscape now
So breathtaking to see
To enjoy the view
GOD leads -
And I simply be.
