Caught between a rock and a hard place
God, will you really settle this for me?
Is really a way out of this impossible situation?
Why it is taking so long?
Have you forgotten?
Then after a while…
Lord, that’s it, I have an alternative!

Be of good cheer and be not afraid
It is I who changes not
Yesterday, today and forever
I remain the same
Do I promise and not fulfill?
Do I bring to labor and not give delivery?
What is too hard for me?

It is I who upholds everything by the word of my power
It is I who spoke the world into existence
It is I who makes something from nothing
It is I who formed you in your mother’s womb
It is I who provided streams of fresh water in the desert
It is I who rained bread from heaven
It is I who gave flesh and life to the dry bones in the valley

Get off the rollercoaster of recalling My power
And then letting fears block the memory
It is a spiritual amnesia, a plague
The surest cure for it is returning to the beginning
Observe My record and be fully persuaded
Whatever I have promised, I am able also to perform
Then you will do a better job at trusting
