I BELIEVE

There are people of this world … And a few who are not
Let’s examine what’s in store … For all that they have bought
What the world offers … To those who are its own
Is listed in the coffers … Of their latest I phone

For some no need to work … They need only ask
It’s referred to as perks … And requires not a task
Let those who have the jobs … Pay for their stuff
And those being robbed … Never have enough

And then there’s the rich … Who have everything
But they still itch … ‘Cause what they have … Is nothing
For when the world is done … All that they have earned
Belongs to the Son … And of him they will learn

Now the few who are not … A part of this mess
Are the ones … Who won’t rot … They have gone to their rest
They are the ones … Who tried to warn … Tried to give you peace
But they were laughed at and scorned … Not allowed to preach
So now the coming hour … When all Hell is coming down
And the one with the power … A truly evil clown
You can still be saved … But it will cost you your life
Or be hiding in the caves … Crying out to die

So I have left you little rhymes … What else could I have done
You wouldn’t give me time … I try to warn … You would run
I felt really sorry … That you wouldn’t listen
But now I don’t worry … Life for me now glistens

So if our still alive … You can fall on your knees
Look up at the sky … And cry out from your heart
“I BELIEVE!”
