As a new day begins
The sun illuminates nature's beauty to see,
The calmness, the peace -
Such stillness in the trees.

The serenity as a new day begins
Within us too, may calmly come alive
If we choose to journey this new day
Remembering Philippians 2, verses 3, 4 and 5.

As a new day grows
Life presents an opportunity for a much faster pace,
The moment of the beginning - may be lost
By simply choosing to win the race.

The gentleness in a morning breeze
Trees seemingly work as one,
We too, may experience this togetherness
As we journey this new day around the sun.

As a new day nears days end
Our minds wonder where this day went,
Human nature thrives on each day's success
Yet, only in our hearts can we truly measure -
Was this new day well spent?
