The following article is based on biblical prophecy (2 Peter 1:21) and is intended to be  conveyed either as the content or  through direct or indirect examination  of scripture.   

The concept that  the message of this article may have different meanings in different contexts, may be  closely related to one's knowledge,  understanding, and perception,  of the scriptures as given in  (2 Timothy 3:16).

Who are the two key evil Tribulation players ?

First a brief synopsis of the end time events: I realize, from the introduction of first Christian church (Acts 2:41-47), up until our current time period, these "end time"prophecies have been mocked ( 2 Peter 3:3-4) by the unbelieving populas. 

Even Jesus's followers were concerned with the events of the last days (Matthew 24:3), Although Jesus failed to givem them an exact date, He did give then certain signs of the last days and of His coming. Please read the 24th Chapter of the book of Matthew.  

Then study the above chart, of the "last day" events in the book of Daniel. You will see that the "church age", the time we are now living in, is the gap between the 69th and the 70th week, for we are still living in that time. So, the chart does not show the time of the end events ,  because the church is still here on earth. But I feel we are very close to the "end times".

How do we know the "end times" are close at hand ? Just read your newspaper, tune to the TV news or suf the internet ( 1 Timothy 4:1).

The "end of time" scenario will play out like this. It will be sudden and catch people unaware (1 Thess 5:2-3), when all Christians living and dead will suddenly disappear from this earth (1 Cor 15:51-54) ( 1 Thess 4:13-18). We will then have a seven year tribulation period, in which the antichrist and the false profit are revealed.

This seven year Tribulation period will follow the "rapture", and will be a time never before known to man (Matthew 24:21), This period of time will see wars and rumor's of wars. The , economic will collapse. One fourth of the population will die by plagues, disease and beasts. There will be mass killings of Christians. Unusual weather patterns will occur such as earthquakes, hail and fire falling from heaven, causing one third of the trees will burn up. The mountains will fall into the sea. The ocean will turn to blood with all sea creatures dying. The sun and moon will darken. The locust will torment. Demons will be unleashed, causing terrible painful sores will break out. The sun heat will increase burning mankind, and on and on. Are we there yet ? Just check your newspaper, the TV media or the internet  ( 2 Timothy 3:1-7,13).

A note about the "Tribulation" period. The prophetic buffs  differ, as to  when the rapture occurs starting the seven year "Tribulation"  period. Some hold to the  "pre-trib doctrine whereby the rapture will occur before the tribulation, some hold to the mid-trib doctrine whereby the rapture will occur at the middle of the tribulation, and others hold to the post-trib doctrine whereby the rapture will occur at the end of the tribulation period. Regards, the scripture is plain on the fact that it will occur, as part of God's plan for the "end times".   

A note about  the battle of Armageddon, which will take place in the valley of Megiddo. To be frank, the students of prophecy are divide, as to just when this war will occur. It is my opinion, however,  that the battle of Armageddon  will occur towards the end of the "tribulation period.  Our Lord Himself tells when this battle will take place: "Immediately after the distress of those days: (Matthew 24:27-31).  That is at the end of the Tribulation and before the Millennium. Our Lord will time His coming at the most dramatic point in all history. The Antichrist, the False Prophet, and Satan will inspire the armies of the world to invade Palestine in a gigantic effort to rid the world of the Jews and to fight against Christ.

After the conclusion of the tribulation there will be a thousand years of peace, in which Jesus himself will physically rule and reign the world from Jerusalem (Revelation 20:4-6), and Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1-3).

At the conclusion of the thousand years, Satan will be released from prison to deceive the people one last time (Revelation 20:7) and rage war on the saints (Revelation 20:8), but fire will reign down from heaven and destroyed Satan's army (Revelation 20:9). Then, Satan and all his sinners are judged and condemned to a permanent Hell (Revelation 20:10-15).

After this period,  the earth will be turned into a new heaven and a new earth forever more (Isaiah 65:17) (Isaiah 66:22) ( Psalm 37:29) ( 2 Peter 3:10-13) (2 Cor 5:17) (1John 2:17) .

You see, Christ will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:8). God promised He would “destroy all the nations” that would “come against Jerusalem,” (Zechariah 12:9,) ( Zech. 12:10). Yes, God's Spirit will be poured out on all flesh (Joel 2:28-32).

Now, for the two main tribulation evil characters, the antichrist and his helper the false prophet.

The antichrist ( 2 Thess 2:4, 7-11) ( 1 John 2:22 ( 1 John 4:3-4) (Revelation 13:1,3-8,17)
The antichrist will be a well known political leader, and Satan's CEO. He will have supernatural powers, given him by the Devil (Daniel 8:24). (Revelation 13:2, 7-8). He will do according to the Devil with all power and signs and lying wonders” (2 Thessalonians 2:9).The antichrist will be a well known political figure, which will initially come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries” (Daniel 11:21). However, by peace he shall destroy many (Daniel 8:25). This antichrist will be outspoken and have great speaking ability. The Antichrist will have a fierce countenance (Daniel 8:23). His appearance will be greater than his all others (Daniel 7:20) . The Antichrist will be very proud (Daniel 11:36), in which his pride even leads him to declare himself God. (2 Thessalonians 2:4

The False Profit (Revelation 13:11-15) (Revelation 19:20)
The False prophet will be a well known world religious leader, and the antichrist's right hand man. His arguments will be subtle, convincing, and appealing. His oratory will be hypnotic, for he will be able to move the masses to tears or whip them into a frenzy. He will control the communication media of the world and will skillfully organize mass publicity to promote his ends. He will be the master of every promotional device and public relations gimmick. He will manage the truth with guile beyond words, bending it, twisting it, and distorting it. Public opinion will be his command. He will mold world thought and shape human opinion like so much potter’s clay. His deadly appeal will lie in the fact that what he says will sound so right, so sensible, so exactly what unregenerate man has always wanted to hear.

However, two prophecies must occur before the antichrist appears. First, God's Holy Spirit must first be taken out of the world (2 Thess 2:6-7), at the time of the rapture, when all Christians are suddenly and without any warning, called up to meet Jesus in the sky (1 Cor 15:51-52). For you see, The church began on the Day of Pentecost with a visitation of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4). The church ends at the rapture with the translation of living saints and the resurrection of those who have died in Christ (1 Thess. 4:13-18).

And secondly, the antichrist must enter into a seven year covenant with Israel (Daniel 9:24-27). The terms of this covenant are not listed, but it is clear it will be a non-aggression pact, perhaps even a military alliance that will enable the antichrist to gain power. Every day we hear something about Middle East Peace talks, or lack thereof. Regardless, at some point they will be completed and this will be the first sign that we will see the antichrist appearance. Herein may be the problem; this agreement may not be noticeable or prominent at first, given the way the world governments do business. It may not be revealed to the public, until well after the fact, to assure positive political feasibility. In other words, thus covenant could have already been signed, but we have not yet been informed. Yet, no one knows, aside from our Father God (Mark 13:32) (Acts 1:7). So, keep your eyes tuned to the Bible and your ears in tune with God (Revelation 22:20-21). It will happen, and sooner than later, I feel.

Now, does any political leader or religious leader come to mind ? Just my opinion, but I feel, based on the current world lawlessness, social unrest, economy unrest, political chaos and unusual weather patterns, that these two men may are already be here somewhere, just waiting for the call by Satan.

If Jesus were to come now, to take all the Christians home, would you go ? Have you ever excepted God's free grace, by your faith, and had Jesus Christ change your life ? Simply put, just ask Jesus to forgive your sins and change your life. You see, one can never be good enough, work hard enough, pay enough, or rely on a friend or family member, on their own,  to gain God's favor (Ephesians 2:8-9).
