MY OPINION All of my life … I’ve been troubled and scorned Drowned in strife … From the day I was born I have fought society … With all of my wits And with stern sobriety … I refused to fit The world has taught all … The games we must play I refused to fall … And become its prey And then one day … I found my LordPro And learned that he paid … and will even the score I turned to the Church … To escape from it all I’ve looked and I’ve searched … And what to my gall Society is here … We’re playing the game And I tremble with fear … And fight to stay sane The Church has said … That I must smile But the world is dead … As a bloody Nile The Church has taught … That to accept the Lord Means problems are not … ‘Cus the Spirit’s been poured Well I’m here to say … That’s the Spirit’s in me And I await the day … That the world will see Peace I have found … But joy I lack I’m really quite sound … And I’ll never go back 2 I must earn the right … To speak my mind The world says fight … And slave for your dime The world in the Church … Should never be God must be first … As he is for me Traditions and laws … And doctrines and rules For the world’s cause … These are its tools Let’s not fight and fuss … As the world would do Let’s study and discuss … What God would have us do To be Born Again … What does this mean We must begin … With what we’ve seen At the moment we die … Our Spirit still lives Up in the sky … A new body he gives 1 Cor 15: 49-52 We become as the wind … Which whistles and blows And as we ascend … Nobody knows John 3: 7-8 This body we know … Is born of the flesh With a Mighty Glow … We’ll be born afresh For a believer to die … Is to go home A sinner is dead … In the home he knows 3 It’s been brought to attention … I disrupt the class ‘Cus I dare to mention … Questions of fact We each are a person … God set us free There is nothing worse than … Taking freedom from me The word of our Lord … Is given to us As a river to ford … To study and discuss The truth is here … If we open our eyes And our ears to hear … Before we die Our body is God’s temple … In whom we Glory As we set the example … And tell the story 1Cor 3: 16-17 What does it mean … This word defile? To keep ourselves clean … With an honest smile Here is a list … Of things to shun Matt 15:17-20 That we won’t miss … Our home with the Son Things from the heart … As they leave our mouth Will set us apart … And defile God’s house Mark 7:15 4 To speak in tongues … Some folks say Become as a sponge … Is the only way But God tells me … With words so dear That he set me free … And I need not fear John 8:32 Some folks do … And some folks don’t What he gives to you … To me he won’t But what of today … A Church of my friend A game is played … And some folks pretend They say that I’m crazy … Really quite nuts I’ve heard that I’m lazy … And stuck in a rut I’m totally weird … ‘Cus I disagree But I smile in my beard … ‘Cus I know I’m free To you it’s a sin … To me maybe not Prov 16:3 Let Jesus come in … He’ll tell you what 1Cor 6:12 … 10:29 For a man to say … Is not his place Matt 7:15 We need to pray … And accept his grace John 8:7 4 Once you are found … Can you be lost Some folks frown … With of course not Don’t ask me dear … Speak to your God Then open our ears … He’ll see you and nod He’ll point your way … And guide your step Prov 16:9 And finally one day … You’ll think you’ve slept The answer is clear … When finally you’ve found He loves you dear … And gives you firm ground Unless you believe … You cannot know 1Cor 8:2-3 And my heart grieves … For the ones who don’t grow Why so many churches … A man has to choose But he still searches … Looking for truth Matt 15:9 The truth is the Bible … You must read it yourself You’ll find that your libel … And you’ll find your help By the Grace of God … A fellow Believer And member of the Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ REBELL …!!!
