FATHER FORGIVE THEM: They Do Not Know What They Do

The Romans and the Pharisees had no real idea they were crucifying the Son of God when they killed Jesus – no idea.

Jesus said if “you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me” (Matt 25:40) – and we do it.

So every time we run someone down, we are running down Jesus, not knowing what we do – not at all.

Every time we are impatient with a family member, we are impatient with Christ, not realizing it – not comprehending it.

Every time we get angry with our fellow humans, we are getting angry with Jesus – not knowing what we do.

Whenever we make fun of someone, we are making fun of the Savior - not being conscious of what we do.

Each time we are vengeful and retaliate against a person, we are getting even with the Master – blindly striking out.

Anytime we are not quite truthful, we are stretching the truth with Christ, who is The Truth – indeed He is.

Every time we are disrespectful to someone, we are disrespecting our Lord – we certainly are.

Anytime we take an object or a reputation, we are taking what belongs to Jesus – we are stealing it.

Whenever we covet what someone else has, we are lusting for what belongs to Christ – we sure are.
