THAT’S WHY THEY CALL IT DECEPTION!

People sincerely believe they understand the teachings of the Bible, even if they have looked at it through the eyes of a denomination – that’s why they call it deception!

Folks honestly think their comprehension of Bible teachings is balanced, when they have never given another view fair consideration – their open-mindedness is a sham.

Individuals trust that what they have been told is the best interpretation, when they have never frankly checked out other ideas – they are deluded in their minds.

People think that they have lived a pretty good life, so they must be headed to the Pearly Gates and into heaven – that’s not what the Good Book says.

Folks believe the doctrines they have been taught, and have been faithful to what the congregation says – so they must have a clear shot into the realms of glory.

They haven’t killed, committed adultery, robbed a bank or hated their parents; they were upstanding folks in the community – and they are sincerely, sadly defrauded.

They attempted to live moral, decent, honorable lives – they seemed as good as all the ones living around them – they have been taken in.

Only by claiming the blood of Jesus and His obedience will anyone be “good enough” to enter into Paradise; private dogma doesn’t count – that’s why they call it deception!
