Travis the Trumpet lives in a very wealthy community and looks down at everyone who does not live the same lifestyle as he does.
He thinks that everyone should all be the same or that the people who do not live the luxurious lifestyle should be treated like slaves.
At school his teacher assigned a team project and grouped him with Omar the Oboe. After school Travis followed Omar home and was shocked to find out that Omar lives in a run down house in a bad part of town.
After several visits to Omar's house, Travis was amazed that Omar and his family had a type of joy that Travis has never experienced. Travis asked Omar if he hated living like he does. Omar told Travis that he is happy where he is.
Omar helped Travis realize that everyone is unique and he should show love to everyone and not to judge them by how they live. It is not important on how much money they have or what their house looks like but what is in the inside.
