Walking back home from a short journey to the store
Talking on the phone with headsets in my ears
Got my candy, got my drink; happy and carefree
Treading upon a path where two roads meet
The music stops overshadowed by a dark force
My feet unexpectedly leaps off the ground
Grisly screams of pleas echoes through the rain
The eyes of a stranger glaring deep inside my soul
Hiding behind the face of a concealed metal aimed at me
A senseless malicious act pierced my beating heart
My body now lay lifeless on the cold wet grass
All I wanted was something to satisfy my hunger
Caught off guard by an evil human thunder
All that is done in darkness eventually comes to light
Dear God, unveil the hidden truth, let justice prevail.
