My dad drives a rusty car…”

Story time on the carpet—

One of my favourites!

 

I like drawing and colouring…

Well, I like all indoor play.

I like the warm-up exercises

I like playing with clay.

 

“Numbers on the wall 1, 2, 3…

That’s NUMERACY!

Letters on the board A, B, C…

That’s LITERACY!”

 

In 1C

There’s plenty to do…

We do Art & Craft;

Working with paper, scissors and glue.

Jesus and His story...

Hi Helen, Yes, they are my classroom memories but not as a child. I was assisting in that classroom and enjoyed it as much as the children were enjoying it. When I was leaving, I wrote this poem as a leaving gift for the class. My son just finished his junior years and as I put some pictures together to commemorate the journey I came across this poem. It was like being in that classroom again...:-)

Cute poem. Are those your memories? If so, that's great. My childhood memories of a one-room classroom for my first 2 years were not that pleasant. But then, I wasn't fond of school -- too shy then. Later, when I went to a Christian High school, I had more pleasant memories. Thanks for sharing. God's blessing!...Helen
