El Elyon – God Most High / Sovereign God

There is no one and nothing higher or greater than our God – not satan or sin or circumstances, He is in absolute control at all times. Nothing surprises Him and nothing can stop His purposes or nullify His promises to those who receive them. It is exactly this sovereign control that enables Him to, “Work everything together for the good of those who love Him...(Romans 8:28).”

Scriptures:

“I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done. I say: My counsel will stand, and I will do all that I please. (Isaiah 46:10)”

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)”

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. (1 John 4:4)”

As God most high, He deserves all our worship. Concerning this the Lord said to me, “Your truest act of worship is to trust Me at all times. When things seem most impossible and you're tempted to despair, that is when your steadfast faith and determined trust honor Me most and shine forth like gold refined in the fire. This is how you worship Me in Spirit and in truth as the Most High and Sovereign God who is faithful to all His promises.

My prayer: “Oh my God, I do trust You. Though at times I have been filled with doubts, still I cling to Your promises and I trust You. I know that You are faithful no matter how things may ever seem from my limited view. Amen.”
