Twelve fallible men
A message to spread
Two by two
Each with only a stick and a friend

And authority

What of Judas, soon to turn traitor?
Who was paired with him?
Did he act strangely? Suspiciously?
Did he have authority too?

Who got the short straw?

No snack bag
No extra cash
No mobile phone
No insurance

Dependent on those they met

Authority over evil spirits
Power to heal
Anointing the sick
Preaching repentance

Exhilarating yet exhausting

¡°Come"
"Debrief"
"Rest¡±
The master summoned the twelve
But hungry crowds followed

He ascended a mountain

They sailed into a storm
