She stood behind Him, trembling with fear and shame tears slowly trickling down her face. She was the dust on her community's shoe, black sheep of her entire family. Just a broken piece of clay, rejected by many, wounded by the realities of her life and seeking after a love she could not find. On what merit did she come here? She had no right to be in this house and yet her heart so starved for love and acceptance had cried out in silent misery to him as she had watched from the shadows. Before, when his eyes had searched her out she fled in fear to the black safety of her empty life. Now here she was only a few feet away with the expensive white box in her hands. Trembling from head to toe she ran quickly to his feet letting her long black hair hide the tears that just would not seem to stop. Falling to her knees she carefully cradled his feet in her hands ,caressing them gently. Each tear that dropped softly on his dusty feet spoke of a hurting wound to deep for words. Every whimpering sob cried out the depth to which she sank in search of love. She looked up at him waiting for him to brush her aside, order her to leave and go back to talking with the men around the table. Instead she seen in His eyes the tenderest of love and the sparkle of unshed tears. His heart reached out for his precious , wayward child, stuck in sin and overwhelmed with pain. But she had finally come to him, laid before him her wounded, heart. She bent down and kissed his feet again as her heart welled up with long forgotten hope and the warm light of His love lite the fire that so long ago had died. She reached for the little white box, hurriedly tore it open and poured it on his tired feet. She looked adoringly up at him and he smiled down at her,his precious daughter!
