Saturday 6/21/14 Minister Terri sermon-Don’t Give Up, Don’t Give In! Phil. 3:13-14

The best thing to know is that God has our back! Whatever the situation is, He has our back and we are His children. Do not give up and do not give in! God has already chosen us from the womb. He walks right beside us, He is in the background or He sends someone to be there for us. God says He will never leave us or forsake us. God did NOT say, “Sometimes I’m going to be away on vacation”. He did not say this but instead said that He will NEVER leave us. It is a ploy from the enemy when we hear something or someone telling us to give up, to end it all. When this happens, we need to be strong. We should stand and say we are staying and not giving up because God loves us.

Our scripture says to press on in God. We cannot press if we give up. We cannot press if we give in. The scripture says press on toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Just know that when things get a little tough, sometimes it is the enemy and sometimes God will allow things to come in our path so we do not have any other choice but to depend on Him. He will allow things to come up. He will allow little bumps in the road for us. We will do everything we can to fix things and they will not work. This is so we know that it is on Him that we depend. God is good like that. He loves you so much! So think about this that God loves you and do not give up on Him.

A song that comes to mind is” He may not come when you want him but He is right on time”. God’s love is infinite and that means it goes on and on and on and on. That is more ons that we can come up with. God will never leave us or forsake us. So embrace the things that come up, the little trials and tribulations. Embrace those things that have you scratching your head and chewing your nails. This is because through God we have the strength to endure!
