Hearing the Voice of GOD Part 3: Prayer

Prayer is an avenue for you as a christian to hear from GOD. Your prayer is not meant to be a monologue all the time. Prayer could be a dialogue between you and GOD. It could be a two way communication. Prophet Habakkuk understood that. In Habakkuk Chapter 2 verse 1, He mentioned the fact that He will watch and pray and listen to what GOD will say to him. I believe it was an usual experience for him. During his prayer times, he always looked forward to hear what GOD would say to him. You, as a christian can also develop your prayer life to be like that. Your prayer doesn't have to be a one way communication all the time. Sometimes, you can devote time to speak and take time to listen to what GOD would speak back to you.

A Prayerful life is essential for every christian. The word of GOD admonishes us to watch and pray (Matthew 26:41). It also admonishes us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18). In the midst of prayer, GOD could reveal a lot of things to you. He could show you great and mighty things that you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). While in the midst of prayer, you could call forth the promises of GOD into fulfillment, break curses and also revert & avert impending dangers. While in prayer, GOD could cleanse you from all unrighteousness and all forms of filthiness. Everything clogging your spirit can be removed while in prayer.

The body of Christ needs to pray more. We are spirits. Spirits communicates with spirits. You as a son or daughter of GOD can hear from GOD through the channel of prayer. Never underestimate the power of prayer and never make it a casual moment with GOD. Always be expectant. While in prayer, GOD could - show you a vision, He could work out a miracle , He could send an angel to you, He could heal you, He show you great and mighty things and also do great and mighty things. Hallelujah! I am encouraging someone to pray more. Have I got a witness? From today, make sure you make conscious efforts to develop your prayer life, spend more time with GOD in prayer (pray in the Spirit and pray in your understanding) and begin to enjoy the benefits of hearing from GOD and walking with GOD. Selah.
