Prayers

Lord this I declare unto thee, for I know that no matter how far I run or how hard I hide I know that you love me, will find me, and carry me on your shoulders.

I trust in your promises even the one that says that during my time here on this Earth I will suffer many trials and sorrows but to be content in that You have overcome them and will be with me in the fire and not allow it to consume me.

My ultimate purpose in this World and with this life, is to know You, accept You, and follow You. Although I do not know what my secondary purpose is or if I will ever find it. I pledge that no matter what my hands find to do that I will do it with my might. No matter what life throws at me or brings my way I will wake each day thanking You and trusting You. I will not let material possessions, money, or status replace our relationship or replace You as the one I love, trust, obey, and have faith in.

I will meet every person you put in my path with love and respect. I will be patient and kind and always ready to forgive. And when forgiveness is not warranted to give it anyway by Grace. I will accept the life you have given me and live it not in fear or anxiety but by Your armor.

I will seek you in all that I do and do my best and leave the rest up to you. I will respect and harness the knowledge and morals you have given me, so that I will live a life that is pleasing to you. For You are the way that leads to life, You are the truth that gives meaning and purpose to life, and You are the life that is in me and all around me. You are God. You know my ways. You know where I’m, where I need to be, and will help get me there.

I will live this life not in fear but with hope. I will not be anxious about anything but prayerful in everything. I will leave my burdens in your hands and trust you always.
These are not promises but my pledge for You and by You. My soul comes alive, my mind follows, and my heart is given a new beat. The old is dead and the new forever changing to be more like your Son Jesus the Christ. Amen.
