The Life (part 1)

Outside, the sun shines through the branches
Breaking its rays into a thousand shafts of insinuating light
Letting me see what I wish not to see
The deepest secrets of me
My mind splinters
Piercing confusion into doubt and belief
Dichotomy whose suffering must soon find its way to choice

Ambiguous in thought I often find no relief
And in the darkest depths of me I discover my hiding place
Fearing what might be revealed if I should learn to know myself
Yet this light has shown its revelation
And in more than simply the dark that its inherent nature betrays
The reflection i see in the mirror is now my face
And my preceding division of self has now been soaked in freedom
Absorbing fully all my secrets left for another day

Whether trick or truth, insight denies logic
For if it did not
Seeing would be believing
But as it is, believing is truly seeing
For truth is the light that opens a heart
And that is seeing for the first and last time

Shine away
Sun through Son
That we may always choose your light to guide us
To show us
The Way
The Truth
Our Life
