Stained by your kisses
Stained with your blood
Stained by your hands left untouched by no one
For so long I tried to turn away
I hid from you and cursed your name
I tried to wash away your stains
But it was my own stains drenched in shame
The blood, the screams, the tears and fears could have been avoided if I had kept you near
But I took the road that led nowhere fast
Now I am haunted with the stones that I have cast
However in the darkest hours of the night I finally began to see your light
bruised and broken with no hope left ready to give up and lay to rest
You came down and cast your eyes upon me
At first your face was not one that I wanted to see
In my humility I avoided your touch
Scared that I was no longer worth much
But you whispered to me and wiped away my tears
You wrapped me in your sweet embrace
You blessed me with a renewed faith
Shattered and scarred, bleeding and broken
Your eyes met mine with a love unspoken
You took my feet in your hands and washed them clean of all my humility
Now washed clean but stained with your love
I raise my hands and sing your name
I drop to my knees and bow without shame
I find myself here stained with glory and grace
I find myself beckoned and drawn
Tainted forever with your stains
I am proud to forever sing your name
