Waiting

There is really no such thing as waiting in my kingdom. There is just the element of timing. So when I say you are to wait on me, I mean you are to live according to what my word teaches and how your heart guides you until your change comes.

There are times and periods to do different things and to be different things. The thing for you is to make sure that you are doing what you should be doing at the right time. Trust me and do what is at hand for you to do, and let go.

Do not fret or worry over the things I tell you will come to pass. Just prepare yourself and live your life to the fullest. Live as if it is your last day, each day and so you won’t have the feeling – the sense of waiting.

Just do what I tell you to do, listen as I speak, and I will guide you. That is all you need to do. Live to the fullest each day. Do not grow weary with your time or with what you are doing. If you are alert, if you live in my presence you will know when your change comes. It will just overtake you unexpectedly. But you must be doing at all times – doing the thing for the moment, in the moment, at the moment, and I will fulfill your call.

I will do the fulfilling, if you are ready and in the right place and doing the right thing. You wouldn’t have been waiting; you would have been living.

You are your greatest enemy when you watch the time and the clock, thinking about all the things that could be done and should be done. That takes away time from your work. Just do the little you are called to do and it will fit into the whole mosaic of life and time.

Trust me. I have made the pattern: I have designed the patchwork. I know when and where each piece fits in, I alone. So don’t judge yourself by what other people are doing with and in their lives at a particular time. They cannot really accomplish anything of value outside of their time. Anything done outside of my design does not count. It is of no real value. So be careful that you do not end up wasting your time by being busy and doing the wrong thing at the wrong time or the right thing at the wrong time just to please or impress others.

Trust me; trust in me. Remain steadfast in me and all things will work out for your good, if you trust in me. That is of paramount importance: trust in me. I will work it out even when it seems impossible and improbable.

I, for my part, have trusted you with my word, the word that I placed within you. I expect you to keep it within you and store it in your heart, knowing that I am faithful to what I say. Everything will happen in its season … everything … if you trust me. That is the covenant I make with you: trust in me and I will bring it to pass always, always. Just trust in me.
If you think I am slack in bringing to pass the things I say, then you don’t know me or truly trust me, and this should be the essence of our relationship. That is the reason I have called you to be my torchbearers. It is based on your acknowledgement of who I am - that I am One who cannot fail or grow weary or faint.

You are my light here in this world and it is I who keep your light burning to carry the news and the work I have placed within you. Trust in me is all you need.

Waiting is like the time it takes a plant to grow from a seed to the fruit-bearing tree it becomes at maturity. Different trees take different times, and need different types of soil to thrive. Generally, trees are not good or bad in themselves: there are only trees that fulfill their purpose and trees that don’t. No tree can carry a fruit that it was not designed to carry, or bear fruit out of its season, unless I do it for a special end … to tell a story.

So even though, with the natural eye a tree doesn’t seem to be bearing fruit, as long as it is still grounded in the soil, the source from which it receives its sustenance, it is still alive and well. It is still fruitful in my sight.

Fruitful, to me, is doing what you should be doing and being where you should be at the right time. You don’t cut down a tree when its period of fruitfulness is past for a season. You tend it and prune it, if needs be, until its time of year returns. So, although it is not fruitful to you, when you can’t see the fruits on its branches, to me it is productive because it is at the point where it should be at the appropriate time.
The reason why my Son cursed the fig tree was that it wasn’t bearing fruit during its seasonal period of fruitfulness – when the master needed return it was not able to fulfill its sole purpose for existence.
