Hearing The Voice of GOD, Part 2: Reverence & Obedience

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant - Psalm 25:12


GOD speaks to those who reverence and obey him. His secrets abide with them who fear Him. Do you want to be hearing the voice of the LORD regularly? You must learn to reverence him and obey Him always and fully. GOD doesn't like partial obedience. Learn to obey Him fully. Allow the fear of the LORD to dwell in your heart. Has the LORD been sharing his secrets with you? Remain humble before the LORD and learn to obey Him. Knowledge puffs up. If you would humble yourself before the LORD, He will share more secrets with you. Yea, He will give you more revelations.

GOD will only share his secrets with those He knows that can keep them. It's not everything the LORD tells you that is meant to be shared. Some revelations/secrets are meant to be personal. When Apostle John (the beloved) heard the voice of the seven thunders and was about to write them, He was immediately instructed not to write them down. That means it was not meant to be revealed at that time. It was meant to be a secret. There is a time and a season for everything. When the time comes for a secret to be shared, GOD will give you the peace to reveal them. Don't cut off your flow or connection with GOD by sharing the secrets that are not meant to be shared for now.
There are also some secrets that are not meant to be shared at all. Samson lost his strength by being loose and by revealing his secret to a woman. That made the Philistines to cut his hair and remove his eyes. The secret to his strength and anointing was his hair. He was not meant to reveal it to anyone. The moment they cut his hair, he lost his anointing and strength.

Another point you must take note of is that, quick and prompt obedience will open the door for you to receive more instructions from the LORD. When He speaks to you to do something, don't delay it if it requires urgency. The more faithful you are to doing his will, the more clearer and regular you will hear Him speak to you.

Now you have learned that when you become faithful to keeping the LORD's secret, to sharing them when He wants you to and to obeying his instruction, the LORD will continue to speak to you more and entrust you with more secrets, I encourage you to start living the word. Let it become your lifestyle. Have reverential fear for the LORD and He will honour you with his secrets. Always remember, "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10a)" and "Wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7)" GOD bless you. Shalom!
