I stood convicted of breaking the law. I was a thief and a murderer. I was found guilty and sentenced to die by crucifixion. I deserved it.

I was taken to the place where criminals are crucified. In front
of me laid a cross with my name on it. They prepared to nail me
to it.

Suddenly a stranger walked up and stopped them. What happened next
erased all doubt in me and silenced the crowds.

He looked at me and at the guards speaking these words:

"Excuse me, that cross is taken."
