"Hero's Call"

A Hero is born in the time of war.
These are the times when the real ones are discovered.
In peace, everyone tries to declare that status.
Most heroes do not come with a chiseled ab or excellence of speech.
A lot of times little is known of them until the dust has
settled and they stand with victory in their hands.

They are the "Repairers of the Breach."
"Defenders of the Weak."
"A Shield for the Innocent."
"Teachers of Peace."
"Educators towards that which is Right."
"Haters of the Oppressors."

They stand for truth and righteousness even when it opposes that which is popular.
These are troubled times that many wishes to ignore.
An emergency alarm has gone off but deaf ears and cold feet is
still the S.O.P., that many abide by.

"APATHY" the standard operating procedure of our time.
But I will not be named among them nor should you.
But the choice is yours given at your birth.
Life's only free gift lay at your feet.
So what shall you do with this gift called, "Choice"?

Spectators need not to apply, lest you are ready to
change your status to "Hero.
