Tuesday of this week is the day of Blood Moon. It is the day of the lunar eclipse which can be seen from many parts of the earth. It is really a stunning astronomical sight displayed in the universe by nature! The moon takes an angry avatar of a huge fireball in bloody red color. The bloody angry look of the Blood Moon provokes thoughts in people that nature would take a revenge against the earth for all the evils and greedy deeds that humanity has been doing to the earth and the whole universe.

Blood Moon is not new in human history. It is the lunar eclipse that appears red in certain conditions. History is filled with countless examples of eclipses foretelling some doom. Blood Moon has been creating a fearful tag among humans, since chronicles of various civilizations have recorded significant events that coincided with this natural phenomenon.

There are many superstitions and tags about the Blood Moon. Will it affect the human life in any way? Will it cause any danger to the human beings physically, mentally or spiritually?

Blood Moon has created a great panic in the Christian world since there are many Biblical verses that depict Blood Moon as a symbol of doom and the Lord’s coming. In the Old Testament, the Book of Joel says, "The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord."(Joel 2:31) In the New Testament, the Book of Revelation says, "The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red." (Revelation 6:12)

Is the Blood Moon a Christian Challenge?

If there is real faith in the love of God, there is no place no place for any panic. He keeps everyone in the palm of His hand and protects from every evil. A faithful man or woman never fears anything.
